Introduction to Cell-Free Synthetic Biology

Numerous highly active cell-free platforms have now been successfully developed and hold promise to be a powerful tool for synthetic biology in years to come. Cell-free synthetic biology is emerging as a powerful and flexible enabling approach aimed to understand, harness, and expand the capabilities of natural biological systems without using intact cells. It has reached broad research communities both in academia and industry.
