Gene: NFATC2
Official Full Name: nuclear factor of activated T cells 2provided by HGNC
Gene Summary: This gene is a member of the nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFAT) family. The product of this gene is a DNA-binding protein with a REL-homology region (RHR) and an NFAT-homology region (NHR). This protein is present in the cytosol and only translocates to the nucleus upon T cell receptor (TCR) stimulation, where it becomes a member of the nuclear factors of activated T cells transcription complex. This complex plays a central role in inducing gene transcription during the immune response. Alternate transcriptional splice variants encoding different isoforms have been characterized. NFATC2 Gene Knockout Cell Lines are genetically modified cell lines in which the NFATC2 (Nuclear Factor of Activated T-cells, Cytoplasmic 2) gene has been rendered non-functional through precise gene editing techniques. NFATC2 plays a crucial role in regulating the immune response, particularly in the signaling pathways of T-cells, where it mediates the transcription of various cytokines. By utilizing these knockout cell lines, researchers can explore the specific roles that NFATC2 plays in immune regulation, cellular differentiation, and other physiological processes.
The key function of NFATC2 Gene Knockout Cell Lines lies in their ability to facilitate targeted experimentation. Without the expression of NFATC2, researchers can elucidate its upstream and downstream interactions, providing insights into calcium signaling, immunosuppression, and the modulation of inflammatory responses. This is invaluable not only for fundamental biological research but also for developing therapeutic strategies against autoimmune diseases, cancer, and chronic infections.
The scientific importance of NFATC2 Gene Knockout Cell Lines cannot be understated; they are instrumental in deciphering the complexities of immune system functionality, making them crucial tools in both academic and clinical research settings. Compared to alternative models, such as transient knockdowns engineered by RNA interference, our knockout cell lines offer stable and reproducible gene loss, enabling long-term studies without the variability associated with transient methods.
For researchers and clinicians alike, the value of NFATC2 Gene Knockout Cell Lines lies in their potential to accelerate discovery and innovation in immunology and therapeutic development. By providing high-quality, validated cell lines, our product facilitates deeper insights into immune mechanisms and fosters the advancement of targeted therapies that can improve patient outcomes.
