NCOA3 Knockout Cell Lines

Gene: NCOA3

Official Full Name: nuclear receptor coactivator 3provided by HGNC

Gene Summary: The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear receptor coactivator that interacts with nuclear hormone receptors to enhance their transcriptional activator functions. The encoded protein has histone acetyltransferase activity and recruits p300/CBP-associated factor and CREB binding protein as part of a multisubunit coactivation complex. This protein is initially found in the cytoplasm but is translocated into the nucleus upon phosphorylation. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. In addition, a polymorphic repeat region is found in the C-terminus of the encoded protein. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010]

Background

NCOA3 Gene Knockout Cell Lines are essential research tools designed to investigate the biological functions of the NCOA3 gene, which encodes a transcriptional coactivator implicated in various cellular processes, including hormone signaling, cancer progression, and metabolic regulation. These cell lines have been engineered to harbor targeted deletions of the NCOA3 gene, facilitating the study of its role in gene expression modulation and signaling pathways.

The primary functions of NCOA3 involve enhancing the transcription of specific genes via interaction with nuclear receptors, thereby influencing tumorigenesis and metabolic pathways. By using these knockout cell lines, researchers can systematically explore the consequences of NCOA3 loss on cellular phenotypes, signaling cascades, and gene regulatory networks, offering insights into potential therapeutic interventions in diseases like breast cancer and other hormone-dependent malignancies.

The scientific significance of NCOA3 Gene Knockout Cell Lines extends to both basic and applied research. In clinical settings, these models are invaluable for preclinical studies aimed at understanding drug resistance mechanisms and identifying novel targets for therapeutic interventions. In research laboratories, they provide a platform for dissecting the molecular underpinnings of gene function.

Compared to alternative approaches such as RNA interference or CRISPR-based methods, NCOA3 Gene Knockout Cell Lines offer a stable and reproducible model system that maintains a homogenous genetic background, reducing variability and improving experimental accuracy. This groundbreaking product addresses a pressing need for effective tools in cancer research and drug discovery.

In recognizing the importance of reliable and versatile reagents in life science research, our company has dedicated extensive resources to develop these cell lines with precision and quality assurance. With a deep commitment to advancing scientific discovery, we are well-equipped to support researchers and clinicians seeking to unlock the complexities of gene regulation and its implications in health and disease.
