Gene: ARHGAP26
Official Full Name: Rho GTPase activating protein 26provided by HGNC
Gene Summary: Interaction of a cell with the extracellular matrix triggers integrin cell surface receptors to begin signaling cascades that regulate the organization of the actin-cytoskeleton. One of the proteins involved in these cascades is focal adhesion kinase. The protein encoded by this gene is a GTPase activating protein that binds to focal adhesion kinase and mediates the activity of the GTP binding proteins RhoA and Cdc42. Defects in this gene are a cause of juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML). Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2017]

ARHGAP26 Gene Knockout Cell Lines are meticulously engineered cellular models specifically designed to investigate the functional implications of the ARHGAP26 gene, a critical regulator of Rho GTPase signaling pathways involved in various cellular processes. By employing CRISPR-Cas9 technology, these knockout cell lines feature a complete deletion of ARHGAP26, allowing researchers to observe changes in cellular behavior, gene expression, and associated signaling cascades stemming from the absence of this gene.
The key function of the ARHGAP26 gene has been linked to the regulation of actin dynamics, cell migration, and adhesion, making these knockout cell lines invaluable for studying cellular mechanics and migration patterns in both normal and pathological conditions. This involves understanding processes such as cancer metastasis, neurodevelopmental disorders, and immune responses, thereby enabling the exploration of novel therapeutic approaches.
In scientific research, ARHGAP26 knockout cell lines serve as a pivotal tool for identifying potential drug targets and elucidating the role of Rho GTPases in disease mechanisms. Their significance extends to clinical settings, where insights gained from these cell lines can translate into precision medicine applications and enhance the development of targeted therapies.
This product offers distinct advantages over traditional models, including increased specificity, reduced off-target effects, and the ability to represent human physiological conditions more accurately. Unlike other gene knockout products, our ARHGAP26 cell lines have been validated for consistent performance in various assays, assuring researchers of their reliability and reproducibility.
As an essential resource for biomedical research, ARHGAP26 Gene Knockout Cell Lines equip researchers, clinicians, and pharmacologists with the necessary tools to propel their studies forward, ultimately fostering breakthroughs in understanding complex diseases.
