IL10RA Knockout Cell Lines

Gene: IL10RA

Official Full Name: interleukin 10 receptor subunit alphaprovided by HGNC

Gene Summary: The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for interleukin 10. This protein is structurally related to interferon receptors. It has been shown to mediate the immunosuppressive signal of interleukin 10, and thus inhibits the synthesis of proinflammatory cytokines. This receptor is reported to promote survival of progenitor myeloid cells through the insulin receptor substrate-2/PI 3-kinase/AKT pathway. Activation of this receptor leads to tyrosine phosphorylation of JAK1 and TYK2 kinases. Two transcript variants, one protein-coding and the other not protein-coding, have been found for this gene. Background

IL10RA Gene Knockout Cell Lines are specially engineered cell cultures in which the interleukin-10 receptor alpha (IL10RA) gene has been functionally inactivated. This modification creates a valuable tool for researchers investigating the role of the IL-10 signaling pathway in both normal and pathological contexts. By knocking out the IL10RA gene, these cell lines enable deeper exploration into the mechanisms of immune regulation, cellular responses to cytokines, and the intricate workings of inflammation.

The primary function of IL10RA Gene Knockout Cell Lines is to facilitate studies on the immune system's behavior in the absence of IL-10 signaling. IL-10 is a crucial anti-inflammatory cytokine, and its receptor, IL10RA, plays a vital role in mediating its effects on immune cells. By utilizing these knockout cell lines, scientists can examine alterations in gene expression, cell proliferation, differentiation, and overall immune response, leading to a better understanding of autoimmune diseases, infections, and cancer.

The scientific importance of these cell lines extends to their applications in both research and clinical settings. They serve as robust models for studying diseases characterized by dysregulated IL-10 signaling, such as chronic inflammatory conditions and certain cancers. Furthermore, the insights gained from these studies have the potential to inform the development of targeted therapies.

Compared to alternative models, IL10RA Gene Knockout Cell Lines offer distinctive advantages, including the ability to study the specific functions of the IL10RA receptor without confounding effects from endogenous IL-10 signaling. This specificity allows for precise experimentation and more reliable data, enhancing research outcomes and reproducibility.

For researchers and clinicians, these knockout cell lines represent an invaluable resource, driving innovations in immunological research and therapeutic development. By availing themselves of this product, users can uncover critical mechanisms of immune modulation and contribute to advancing clinical applications.

Our company prides itself on its commitment to precision and excellence in biological products. With rigorous quality control and expert support, we ensure that our IL10RA Gene Knockout Cell Lines can meet the demanding needs of contemporary biomedical research.
