Overview

Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is a characteristic component of the cell wall of Gram-negative bacteria. LPS and its lipid A component can stimulate innate immune system cells through Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), a member of the Toll-like receptor protein family, which can recognize common pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs). This product is extracted from Minnesota Salmonella and purified by gel filtration. The source strain is ATCC 9700.
