Description FITC-lipopolysaccharide (FITC-LPS) can be used to study the movement/transport of LPS across tissue barriers (e.g., colonic epithelial cells), cellular binding, and internalization of lipopolysaccharide by fluorometric analysis systems. It can be used to evaluate, identify, and quantify lipopolysaccharide (LPS) removal reagents and processes. FITC-LPS conjugates can be used for the detection of LPA binding proteins and motifs.

Overview

Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is a characteristic component of the Gram-negative bacterial cell wall. LPS and its lipid A portion can stimulate the innate immune system cells through Toll-like receptor protein family members that recognize common pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs), such as Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4).
