Gene: GRPR
Official Full Name: gastrin releasing peptide receptorprovided by HGNC
Gene Summary: Gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP) regulates numerous functions of the gastrointestinal and central nervous systems, including release of gastrointestinal hormones, smooth muscle cell contraction, and epithelial cell proliferation and is a potent mitogen for neoplastic tissues. The effects of GRP are mediated through the gastrin-releasing peptide receptor. This receptor is a glycosylated, 7-transmembrane G-protein coupled receptor that activates the phospholipase C signaling pathway. The receptor is aberrantly expressed in numerous cancers such as those of the lung, colon, and prostate. An individual with autism and multiple exostoses was found to have a balanced translocation between chromosome 8 and a chromosome X breakpoint located within the gastrin-releasing peptide receptor gene. GRPR Gene Knockout Cell Lines are advanced biological models specifically engineered to lack the expression of the gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR). These cell lines serve as invaluable tools for researchers studying the intricate roles that GRPR plays in various physiological processes and pathological conditions, including cancer, neurobiology, and metabolic disorders. By employing CRISPR-Cas9 technology, these cell lines are created with high specificity and efficiency, ensuring complete knockout of the GRPR gene, which allows for precise investigation into the receptor's functions and interactions within signaling pathways.
The primary function of GRPR Gene Knockout Cell Lines is to facilitate hyper-focused studies on the downstream effects of GRPR absence. Researchers can elucidate mechanisms involved in tumor progression, cellular signaling discrepancies, and the neuroendocrine system's regulation, thus enhancing our understanding of diseases associated with GRPR signaling. This comprehensive knowledge can inform the development of novel therapeutic approaches, significantly impacting clinical practices in oncology and neurology.
What sets our GRPR Gene Knockout Cell Lines apart from alternatives is the rigorous validation process each cell line undergoes, ensuring authenticity and consistency in experimental outcomes. These models are also compatible with various experimental formats including high-throughput screening, making them an efficient choice for laboratories focused on both basic and applied research.
The value of these cell lines to researchers and clinicians cannot be overstated; they provide a reliable foundation for cutting-edge studies, promote reproducibility, and can ultimately lead to breakthroughs in targeted therapies. For years, our company has been at the forefront of biotechnological advancements, prioritizing precision and quality in our product offerings. With our expertise, researchers can confidently rely on our GRPR Gene Knockout Cell Lines to accelerate their discoveries and elevate their scientific inquiries.
