Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is a characteristic component of the cell wall of Gram-negative bacteria. LPS and its lipid A portion can stimulate the innate immune system cells via Toll-like receptor protein family members, such as Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), which recognize common pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs). This product is provided as a lyophilized powder treated with gamma-rays. To resuspend, add 1 ml of sterile balanced salt solution or tissue culture medium to the vial (1 mg) and gently agitate until the powder is dissolved. The resuspended product can be further diluted with sterile balanced salt solution or tissue culture medium to the desired working concentration.
