ARID2 Knockout Cell Lines

Gene: ARID2

Official Full Name: AT-rich interaction domain 2provided by HGNC

Gene Summary: This gene encodes a member of the AT-rich interactive domain (ARID)-containing family of DNA-binding proteins. Members of the ARID family have roles in embryonic patterning, cell lineage gene regulation, cell cycle control, transcriptional regulation and chromatin structure modification. This protein functions as a subunit of the polybromo- and BRG1-associated factor or PBAF (SWI/SNF-B) chromatin remodeling complex which facilitates ligand-dependent transcriptional activation by nuclear receptors. Mutations in this gene are associated with hepatocellular carcinomas. A pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome1. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2016]

Background

ARID2 Gene Knockout Cell Lines are genetically engineered cell lines specifically designed to disable the ARID2 gene, which is implicated in key biological processes, including chromatin remodeling and transcription regulation. The knockout of the ARID2 gene leads to significant alterations in cellular function and behavior, enabling researchers to investigate the gene's role in various disease mechanisms, particularly in cancer and genetic disorders. This product uses CRISPR-Cas9 technology to achieve precise gene editing, ensuring that the resultant cell lines are devoid of functional ARID2 expression.

The primary function of these cell lines lies in facilitating deeper exploration of ARID2’s regulatory pathways and its impact on genomic stability. By utilizing these knockout models in their experiments, researchers can better understand how the loss of ARID2 contributes to tumorigenesis and other pathologies, paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies. Furthermore, these cell lines can be employed in drug screening to identify compounds that specifically target ARID2-deficient cells, which can lead to more personalized medicine approaches.

The scientific importance of ARID2 Gene Knockout Cell Lines is underscored by their applicability across a spectrum of research and clinical settings. Their unique characteristics allow for the elucidation of complex biological processes and serve as valuable tools in cancer biology and therapeutic research. When compared to other models, the precise gene knockout achieved through our advanced CRISPR methodology provides a clean and robust platform, reducing the likelihood of off-target effects seen in traditional RNA interference techniques or older gene disruption methods.

For researchers and clinicians, the value of ARID2 Gene Knockout Cell Lines is multifaceted. They not only enhance the understanding of gene function in health and disease but also drive innovations in treatment strategies by providing a tested model for drug efficacy and safety assessments. With a commitment to quality and scientific rigor, our company offers unparalleled expertise in the development of genetic tools, ensuring that these cell lines meet the highest standards for research applications.
