Overview

Lipopolysaccharide from the serotype Salmonella enteritidis is suitable for cell culture and cell binding applications. It is used to study the role of inflammation in neuropathic pain and aneurysm progression. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is a characteristic component of the cell wall of Gram-negative bacteria. LPS and its lipid A part stimulate cells of the innate immune system through Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4). The product has been sterilized by gamma irradiation.
