TRIOBP Knockout Cell Lines

Gene: TRIOBP

Official Full Name: TRIO and F-actin binding proteinprovided by HGNC

Gene Summary: This gene encodes a protein with an N-terminal pleckstrin homology domain and a C-terminal coiled-coil region. The protein interacts with trio, which is involved with neural tissue development and controlling actin cytoskeleton organization, cell motility and cell growth. The protein also associates with F-actin and stabilizes F-actin structures. Mutations in this gene have been associated with a form of autosomal recessive nonsyndromic deafness. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that would encode different isoforms have been found for this gene, however some transcripts may be subject to nonsense-mediated decay (NMD). Background

TRIOBP Gene Knockout Cell Lines are specially engineered cellular models that lack the expression of the TRIOBP gene, which encodes a protein involved in critical cellular processes including cytoskeletal organization and signal transduction. These knockout models are designed utilizing advanced CRISPR/Cas9 technology, ensuring precise gene editing that facilitates in-depth exploration of TRIOBP’s role in various biological contexts.

The primary function of these cell lines is to provide a platform for scientists to investigate the implications of TRIOBP deficiency on cell behavior, including proliferation, differentiation, and response to external stimuli. The absence of TRIOBP enables researchers to delineate its influence on pathways such as actin dynamics and cell adhesion, which are vital for understanding mechanisms pertinent to development, cancer biology, and neurodegenerative diseases.

Scientifically, TRIOBP Gene Knockout Cell Lines hold significant importance within both research and clinical settings. They serve as a valuable resource for studying the pathophysiology of diseases that are linked to dysfunctional TRIOBP protein, thereby facilitating the discovery of potential therapeutic targets. Their utilization in drug screening processes also aids in the identification of novel treatments based on the TRIOBP signaling pathways.

Compared to conventional cell lines, the TRIOBP knockout variants present unique advantages, including higher specificity in assessing gene function and a more accurate representation of disease models. This specificity enhances the reliability of results, making these lines pivotal in translational research.

For researchers and clinicians aiming to elucidate the critical role of TRIOBP in health and disease, these knockout cell lines provide unparalleled opportunities to deepen understanding and develop innovative solutions. Our company prides itself on its commitment to cutting-edge biotechnological advancements, providing researchers with high-quality biological products that further scientific discovery.
