TNFRSF25 Knockout Cell Lines

Gene: TNFRSF25

Official Full Name: TNF receptor superfamily member 25provided by HGNC

Gene Summary: The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor is expressed preferentially in the tissues enriched in lymphocytes, and it may play a role in regulating lymphocyte homeostasis. This receptor has been shown to stimulate NF-kappa B activity and regulate cell apoptosis. The signal transduction of this receptor is mediated by various death domain containing adaptor proteins. Knockout studies in mice suggested the role of this gene in the removal of self-reactive T cells in the thymus. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene encoding distinct isoforms have been reported, most of which are potentially secreted molecules. The alternative splicing of this gene in B and T cells encounters a programmed change upon T-cell activation, which predominantly produces full-length, membrane bound isoforms, and is thought to be involved in controlling lymphocyte proliferation induced by T-cell activation. Background

TNFRSF25 Gene Knockout Cell Lines are advanced research tools designed to facilitate the investigation of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 25 (TNFRSF25), also known as death receptor 3. These specialized cell lines have been engineered to lack the expression of TNFRSF25, allowing researchers to dissect the role of this receptor in cellular processes such as apoptosis, immune response, and proliferation. By understanding the specific signaling pathways influenced by TNFRSF25, scientists can gain valuable insights into various health conditions, including autoimmunity, cancer, and inflammation.

The key functions of TNFRSF25 revolve around its involvement in T-cell regulation and the modulation of the immune system. By using these knockout cell lines, researchers can assess how the absence of TNFRSF25 affects cellular behavior and immune responses in various contexts, contributing to the development of targeted therapies. This product is particularly significant in both basic and translational research, enabling studies that aim to identify novel therapeutic targets in diseases driven by dysregulated immune responses.

What sets TNFRSF25 Gene Knockout Cell Lines apart from alternative models is their precise genetic modification, which eliminates the need for complex experimental setups that may introduce variability. Moreover, these cell lines offer a stable, reproducible system for high-throughput screening and drug discovery processes, streamlining research workflows.

Researchers and clinicians will find substantial value in utilizing TNFRSF25 Gene Knockout Cell Lines, as they not only provide clarity on receptor function but also serve as a platform for exploring innovative treatment strategies. The knowledge gained through experiments conducted with these cell lines could lead to the development of new interventions aimed at modulating immune responses in clinical settings.
