Gene: SIPA1
Official Full Name: signal-induced proliferation-associated 1provided by HGNC
Gene Summary: The product of this gene is a mitogen induced GTPase activating protein (GAP). It exhibits a specific GAP activity for Ras-related regulatory proteins Rap1 and Rap2, but not for Ran or other small GTPases. This protein may also hamper mitogen-induced cell cycle progression when abnormally or prematurely expressed. It is localized to the perinuclear region. Two alternatively spliced variants encoding the same isoform have been characterized to date. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

SIPA1 Gene Knockout Cell Lines are specialized cellular models engineered to specifically delete the SIPA1 gene, which plays a crucial role in various cellular signaling pathways, including those that influence cell migration, invasion, and communication. These knockout cell lines facilitate the detailed investigation of SIPA1's biological functions, enabling researchers to explore the gene's involvement in processes such as cancer progression and metastasis. By eliminating SIPA1 expression, these cell lines help delineate the molecular mechanisms underlying various pathologies, providing insights that are essential for advancing therapeutic strategies.
The primary function of SIPA1 knockout cells is to serve as a comparative platform against wild-type cell lines, allowing scientists to observe differences in phenotypic behavior that arise from the absence of SIPA1. This includes alterations in cell motility, adhesion properties, and responses to external stimuli. The mechanistic insights gained from these observations can reveal SIPA1’s role as a molecular mediator in health and disease, making these cell lines valuable research tools.
In clinical and research settings, the SIPA1 Gene Knockout Cell Lines are instrumental in elucidating the gene's contributions to tumorigenesis and its potential as a therapeutic target. Their application spans various fields, including oncology, pharmacology, and developmental biology, providing critical information necessary for drug discovery and development.
The SIPA1 Gene Knockout Cell Lines stand apart from alternative models through their specificity and rigorously validated gene disruption, ensuring that research outcomes are reliable and reproducible. These lines offer a streamlined approach for researchers aiming to dissect complex signaling networks without the interference of SIPA1, leading to more focused experimental designs.
For researchers and clinicians dedicated to unlocking the complexities of cellular biology and disease mechanisms, these cell lines represent a pioneering resource, enhancing both the precision and efficiency of scientific investigations. Our company is at the forefront of developing advanced biological research tools, leveraging deep expertise and the latest molecular technologies to equip scientists with the necessary resources to drive innovation in life sciences.
