RAET1E Knockout Cell Lines

Gene: RAET1E

Official Full Name: retinoic acid early transcript 1Eprovided by HGNC

Gene Summary: This gene belong to the RAET1 family, which consists of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I-related genes located in a cluster on chromosome 6q24.2-q25.3. This and RAET1G protein differ from other RAET1 proteins in that they have type I membrane-spanning sequences at their C termini rather than glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchor sequences. This protein functions as a ligand for NKG2D receptor, which is expressed on the surface of several types of immune cells, and is involved in innate and adaptive immune responses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]

Background

RAET1E Gene Knockout Cell Lines are a tailored biological tool designed to facilitate the study of immune responses and cellular interactions in a controlled environment. These cell lines have been genetically engineered to wholly disrupt the RAET1E gene, which encodes for a protein involved in the regulation of natural killer (NK) cell activity. By eliminating this specific gene, researchers can explore the role of RAET1E in immune modulation, enabling them to assess how its absence affects cell signaling, immune evasion, and overall cell physiology.

The key mechanism by which RAET1E Gene Knockout Cell Lines function is rooted in gene editing technologies, such as CRISPR-Cas9, which allow for precise modifications at the genomic level. By observing these modified cells, scientists can gain insights into the pathways influenced by RAET1E and identify potential therapeutic targets for diseases characterized by dysfunctional NK cell responses, including cancers and infectious diseases.

The scientific importance of RAET1E Gene Knockout Cell Lines extends to both research and clinical applications. They serve as valuable model systems for studying the dynamics of NK cells, contributing to the development of immunotherapies and improving our understanding of tumor-immune interactions. Furthermore, the characterization of these knockout models can aid in elucidating the mechanisms of immune escape employed by various malignancies.

What sets RAET1E Gene Knockout Cell Lines apart from traditional cell lines is their specificity and ability to mimic pathological conditions more accurately. This innovative product provides researchers with a unique opportunity to achieve reproducible, high-fidelity results in their studies, which are critical for advancing preclinical research.

In summary, RAET1E Gene Knockout Cell Lines represent a robust resource for researchers and clinicians aiming to unravel complex immune processes, enhance therapeutic strategies, and deepen our understanding of immunological functions. Our company prides itself on specializing in the development of advanced genetic models, ensuring that our offerings are backed by scientific rigor and aimed at accelerating biological research.
