PIAS2 Knockout Cell Lines

Gene: PIAS2

Official Full Name: protein inhibitor of activated STAT 2provided by HGNC

Gene Summary: This gene encodes a member of the protein inhibitor of activated STAT family, which function as SUMO E3 ligases and play important roles in many cellular processes by mediating the sumoylation of target proteins. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. Isoforms of the encoded protein enhance the sumoylation of specific target proteins including the p53 tumor suppressor protein, c-Jun, and the androgen receptor. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the short arm of chromosome 4. The symbol MIZ1 has also been associated with ZBTB17 which is a different gene located on chromosome 1. Background

PIAS2 Gene Knockout Cell Lines are genetically modified cells designed to specifically disrupt the PIAS2 gene, which plays a critical role in regulating various cellular processes, including gene expression, cell proliferation, and response to DNA damage. Through the application of advanced genome editing techniques such as CRISPR/Cas9, these cell lines provide a robust platform for investigating the diverse biological functions of the PIAS2 gene, enabling researchers to explore pathways involved in cancer progression, immune responses, and autoimmune diseases.

The primary mechanism of action involves the complete knockout of the PIAS2 gene, resulting in the loss of its protein product, which acts as an E3 ligase that modifies key transcription factors via SUMOylation. This modification influences how these transcription factors interact with DNA and other proteins, affecting downstream gene expression. By using these knockout cell lines, scientists can better understand the molecular mechanisms driving various biological phenomena, such as tumorigenesis and immune dysregulation, ultimately paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions.

In research and clinical settings, PIAS2 Gene Knockout Cell Lines serve as invaluable tools for dissecting signaling pathways and gene networks. Their ability to mimic disease states makes them particularly useful for drug discovery and testing. Unique to our offering is the high efficiency of knockout achieved, coupled with the stability of the cell lines under experimental conditions, which sets them apart from other gene knockout products currently available in the market.

Researchers and clinicians should consider incorporating PIAS2 Gene Knockout Cell Lines into their studies due to their unparalleled ability to facilitate insights into gene function and regulation. As a leader in biomanufacturing and molecular biology, our company is committed to providing high-quality biological products that enable groundbreaking discoveries and innovations in life sciences.
