PA2G4 Knockout Cell Lines

Gene: PA2G4

Official Full Name: proliferation-associated 2G4provided by HGNC

Gene Summary: This gene encodes an RNA-binding protein that is involved in growth regulation. This protein is present in pre-ribosomal ribonucleoprotein complexes and may be involved in ribosome assembly and the regulation of intermediate and late steps of rRNA processing. This protein can interact with the cytoplasmic domain of the ErbB3 receptor and may contribute to transducing growth regulatory signals. This protein is also a transcriptional co-repressor of androgen receptor-regulated genes and other cell cycle regulatory genes through its interactions with histone deacetylases. This protein has been implicated in growth inhibition and the induction of differentiation of human cancer cells. Six pseudogenes, located on chromosomes 3, 6, 9, 18, 20 and X, have been identified. Background

PA2G4 Gene Knockout Cell Lines are specifically designed cellular models that facilitate the loss-of-function studies for the PA2G4 gene, which encodes the proliferation-associated 2G4 protein. These cell lines are engineered using advanced CRISPR-Cas9 technology, enabling precise deletion of the PA2G4 gene. By eliminating the expression of this protein, researchers can effectively study its role in cellular processes, including proliferation, apoptosis, and signal transduction pathways.

The primary function of these knockout cell lines lies in their ability to provide insights into the biological significance of PA2G4, particularly in the context of cancer research and other diseases. Understanding the mechanisms underlying PA2G4's function can shed light on its involvement in tumorigenesis and potential therapeutic targets. Furthermore, the loss of PA2G4 can enhance the study of compensatory pathways in cellular responses, thereby aiding in the identification of novel intervention strategies.

In clinical and research settings, PA2G4 Gene Knockout Cell Lines offer a significant advantage over traditional models such as wild-type cells. Their precise genetic modification allows for more reliable data on gene function and drug response, reducing confounding variables associated with genetic heterogeneity. Additionally, these cell lines cater to advanced applications, including high-throughput screening, gene editing validation, and pathway analysis, which are critical for the development of effective therapeutic strategies.

For researchers and clinicians focused on cancer biology and molecular genetics, the PA2G4 Gene Knockout Cell Lines represent a valuable resource that enhances experimental reproducibility and accelerates discovery. The provision of validated, ready-to-use cell lines facilitates immediate application in research projects, saving time and resources.
