Gene: AMHR2
Official Full Name: anti-Mullerian hormone receptor type 2provided by HGNC
Gene Summary: This gene encodes the receptor for the anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) which, in addition to testosterone, results in male sex differentiation. AMH and testosterone are produced in the testes by different cells and have different effects. Testosterone promotes the development of male genitalia while the binding of AMH to the encoded receptor prevents the development of the mullerian ducts into uterus and Fallopian tubes. Mutations in this gene are associated with persistent Mullerian duct syndrome type II. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. AMHR2 Gene Knockout Cell Lines are advanced cellular models specifically engineered to create a targeted disruption of the anti-Müllerian hormone receptor type 2 (AMHR2) gene. This innovative product serves as a crucial tool for studying the physiological and pathological roles of AMHR2 in various biological contexts. By employing CRISPR-Cas9 technology, these cell lines provide researchers with a reliable system for investigating the signaling pathways and molecular mechanisms associated with reproductive biology and developmental processes.
The primary function of AMHR2 is to regulate sexual differentiation and reproductive function, making its knockout instrumental in the exploration of diseases linked to reproductive health, certain cancers, and hormone disorders. The knockout cell lines enable scientists to elucidate the role of AMHR2 in signaling pathways, enabling a deeper understanding of conditions such as ovarian and testicular tumors. These insights can lead to more targeted therapeutic strategies and help advance reproductive medicine.
What sets AMHR2 Gene Knockout Cell Lines apart from alternative models is their high specificity and reproducibility, ensuring that experimental outcomes are robust and reliable. Compared to traditional knockdown approaches, these knockout lines provide a complete absence of AMHR2 function, which is essential for comprehensively understanding the gene's role.
For researchers and clinicians engaged in reproductive biology, oncology, or endocrine research, these knockout cell lines represent a cutting-edge advancement, offering significant potential for groundbreaking discoveries. Their ability to facilitate high-throughput screening and mechanistic studies further enhances their utility in both academic and clinical research settings.
At our company, we pride ourselves on our expertise in developing innovative biological products that address the evolving needs of the scientific community.
